Quinn Domini’s work is celebrated for its vibrant use of color and energetic brushwork. In her portraits, Domini combines traditional techniques with a modern twist, often employing vivid hues and abstracted forms to convey the essence of her subjects. Influenced by the likes of Jack Beal, Fritz Scholder, and Daniel Onguene, Domini takes inspiration from their developed sense of color. The emotional depth that resonates with viewers, is drawn from the intimate and candid nature of the photo references. All painted portraits come from photos that are intricately captured with light, composition and energy in mind. Her photo inspiration comes from; Petra Collins, Helen Levitt, and Ashley Armitage.
